I have the honour to present to you more than a twenty five hundred works and over eight hundred profiles of students at our Academy. The purpose of the ONLINE 2021 exhibition is to present the teaching process, the subjects that students deal with during their studies, and how these elements contribute to the development of their artistic sensitivity.
We realise that the online form does not provide the visual experience offered by the traditional exhibition, the Open Academy. Unfortunately, for technical reasons, we are unable to demonstrate the works of all our students in a classic way. With this in mind, we decided to invite the teachers and deans of our nine faculties to act as curators. Thanks to their involvement, the ONLINE 2021 exhibition presents the selected works which best reflect the specificities of our Academy.
I am convinced that moving the fruits of the joint efforts of all the people forming the Academy into the virtual space will allow a much larger audience to experience the art than a traditional exhibition.
I would like to sincerely thank the entire Academy community, especially our students who, despite acquiring their knowledge and skills in particularly difficult conditions, do not stop amazing us with their artistic work as well as with their sensitivity and determination. I would also like to thank our teachers, deans and the staff of the Publicity and External Relations Office for their commitment, devoted time and invaluable support in promoting all these outstanding projects.
