Description
The conservation of Ignacy Jasiński’s painting The Lord’s Transfiguration, being a kind of painting study based on Raphael’s famous composition with the same title, is carried out under a regular course by Olga Konowrocka, a student of the 2nd year. In the last academic year, works were carried out to consolidate the paint layer (consisting in the gluing of flaky areas or the impregnation of powder areas) and to remove dirt from it. The cleaning effect is spectacular both in daylight and in ultraviolet.
