‘Żurek’ (Rye soup) is an experimental approach to the convention of Polish rap culture. By processing audiovisual motifs and schemes present in this culture, we try to take an ironic look at the essence of this music genre. Rappers are the most recognisable ‘artists’ among the young generation, so as aspiring artists who wish to earn fame in society, we choose this direction, rapping about favourite soup – żurek.
