My work is devoted to sleep. After many conversations with my loved ones about their dreams, I decided to record notes from our discussions. The topic of sleep has always been a very personal issue to me, because as a little girl I suffered from insomnia. Sleep was salvation and the most significant thing for me in those days. I have always been fascinated with dreams, and it has been a great joy for me to share images and accounts of their experience. The concept of sleep can be interpreted in many aspects. I wanted to mutually share stories with my family and then put our experiences on paper. It was a form of game that resulted in a memento in the form of a collective drawing. I also engaged my friends in my project by asking them to tell me about sleep and what they found fascinating or frightening about it; the topic was very open, because I was interested in their point of view. In my opinion, sharing stories about dreams is a very intimate act, because you are exposing your mind in a way. Such conversations make me want to share, experience things with other people and open up to them.
