‘Art got out of control. In order to prevent excessive multiplication of beings,
we present an exhibition initiative that fulfils the needs of the modern artist.
We decided to gather all the omitted paintings and sketches – the ones that you have forgotten about or you did not manage to sell, the ones that suffocate you, burdening your soul and your shelves. There is too much art.’ Such was the text of an advertisement in the Open Call, the organisation of which was
the first phase of this work. Answers came mainly from students, but also from renowned artists. Sometimes even with children! They sent me their works, more or less aware of what I would do with them. I received around 10 kg of works; I tore them into pieces, put into the ground and planted flowers, shrubs and trees on them. During the activities recorded on the attached video, I had time to reflect upon this description.
