Description

It is a photographic and graphic project, which included research on architecture within a radius of 1 km around my family home located in a small Polish town. I was particularly interested in the phenomenon of building new houses instead of renovating the old ones, which more and more often stand unused and empty – which is an effect of some stigma or aesthetic failure related to buildings erected in the 1960s (in spite of the fact that the number of inhabitants of small towns usually decreases). On the other hand, the project humorously shows the similarity of styles that were valued in such different ways.
