Description

Reaction as the behaviour of a living organism caused by some stimuli. Reaction as an action and transformation in response to something. Animated figure (doll) designed and created by me for the semester assignment ‘Personae’. The appearance of the object evokes natural associations with a spine. Anatomy is a tool for attempting to find a metaphor concerning carnality and emotion. The figure and the recording deal with issues of pain, anxiety and related physical pain. Our body and the things we experience are very strongly interconnected in the relation between psyche and physicality. The visible and the invisible. What is named and what cannot be named.
